Synopsis:
Danny Boryla finds himself the unwilling participant in a Communist infiltration scheme involving the import of human cargo. Since Danny was brought into the U.S. illegally, Captain Kouzma blackmails Danny into placing these “friends” in key positions at the defense plant where he works. When a blackmailer is found murdered and Danny is a suspect, he is forced to play along with the Commies. Learning of Danny’s American sweetheart, Kouzma mistakes Margot for Nancy and Lamont sets out as The Shadow to rescue Margot from a watery grave. After freeing her from the ship “Vladikavkas,” Lamont then tries to locate Captain Kouzma. But he and Comrade Tarlov are struck from behind and placed in a burning building. Margot and Danny rescue the unconscious Lamont. Margot sets out to contact David Fairfield and alert him about the ship, while The Shadow goes back to overpower the Commies and throw them overboard so the police can fish them out of the water. Cleared of a murder charge, Danny will be deported and have to take his turn to come to the U.S. legally — and Nancy will be waiting for him.
