Synopsis:
David Fairfield is seeking the identity of a spy known as The Lisping Man. When two of his agents are shot to death by a female messenger of The Lisping Man, Lamont helps Fairfield in the investigation. After questioning Debby Vole, who left a business card at the scene of the second crime, Lamont starts to suspect a connection between her and The Lisping Man. When Margot gets too close, The Lisping Man phones Lamont to warn him that he has both Debby and Margot. If Fairfield and his men continue to follow his trail, they will become his next victims. Using a tip from Fairfield, Lamont races out to a music warehouse on the East River. As The Shadow, he frees Margot from her bonds and helps Debby Vole relive her shocking experience — and reveals the true identity of her employer as Igor, The Lisping Man — the same man responsible for the death of her husband.
