Synopsis:

Helen Wallace has confessed to the murder of blackmailer Jerry Jason. Because she blacked out before the murder, her details are a bit fuzzy. Having grown up with Helen, Margot assured Lamont that she is no murderer. Weston, however, assumes the case is open and shut. Lamont and Margot find another bullet in a chair but before proving to Weston that Helen shot into a chair and someone else committed the murder, the chair disappears. After two witnesses to the crime are killed, Lamont tricks Helen’s husband Carl into a confession. Carl’s biggest mistake was planting the gun in Helen’s right hand so the powder from the gun would prove she pulled the trigger — but Helen is left-handed.
