Synopsis:

While searching for a young fighter named Kid Thomas, who is suspected of murdering his last opponent in the ring, Lamont and Margot stumble onto the body of the Kid’s manager. With each death, the police strongly suspect the Kid is guilty, exacting revenge on everyone who arranged for him to fight an old pro like Marcus. When King Richards, the man responsible for fixing the bout in the third round, is shot to death, Lamont narrows down the possible solutions to the crime. He discovers that Kid Thomas’ best friend, Muggsy, had worked with Marcus to win the fight and profit by double-crossing King. Muggsy killed Marcus to profit even more from their arrangement and frame the murders on the Kid. Punch-drunk from the fight and still in a daze, The Kid punches out Muggsy with a few blows, believing he’s still in the fight. The Shadow snaps the Kid out of his confusion and arranges for the police to arrive and take Muggsy away.
