Synopsis:
Lamont and Margot are set on the trail of a gang they suspect of smuggling Canadian gold to the European black market. The mastermind behind the scheme, known as “The Boss,” creates a twisted path involving the murder of men in his gang so the survivors can get larger shares of the take. After finding a marked road map on the body of one of the murdered truck drivers, Lamont arrives at the Shady Dells Inn, a deserted old roadhouse that serves as a rendezvous for the smugglers. As The Shadow, Lamont uncovers a number of crosses and double-crosses wherein members of the gang attempt to eliminate each other. Because of The Shadow’s interference, the men are disarmed and set on a path leading to the electric chair.
