Synopsis:

With the murder of Commodore Greg Wilson, found hanging on the mast of his sloop, a result of the jealousies and hatreds of a suburban yacht club, Lamont and Margot attempt to identify the “Blackball” killer before he or she strikes again. Recently blackballed from the club, Dan Jackson is accused of the crime. Miles Anders, secretary/treasurer of the yacht club, was using the building fund for his new clubhouse. After Wilson went over the books and found out, Anders murdered the man hoping Jackson would take the blame after he threatened members of the club for his present predicament. Anders drugs Jackson to make it look like a suicide, so the police would consider the case open and closed, but he failed to reckon with The Shadow. Realizing he cannot fight an invisible man or hide the truth any longer, Anders attempts to make a break for it, slipping on the same black marble that was a symbol of rejection for his fellow man.
