Synopsis:
Touring South Africa, Lamont and Margot answer an urgent message received by their good friend Dr. Frisbie. It seems someone stole the stone eyes from the hundred foot tall statue of the Shonshee tribe. The natives fear danger of an outbreak is imminent if the eyes, made of pure stone and of no value, are not returned. After investigating and dodging a spear thrown at him, Lamont discovers that a Balkan hunter and his aide found a diamond mine on the Shonshee land. Not wanting to share the find with the tribe, they plotted with the local witch doctor to steal the stone eyes as a device which could frighten the Shonshees off their land. When Margot wanders into the wrong tent and learns the truth, Lamont comes to her rescue as The Shadow, shooting the leopard used to commit one murder and knocking the gun out of the hunter’s hand so the local police can come take him away.
