Synopsis:
The avenging corpse of his Uncle Charles plagues young Maury Winton and his fiancée, Cassie, fears her husband-to-be may be going insane. Cassie sends out an S.O.S. to her school friend, Margot Lane, who happens to be in Drydensville for a peaceful vacation. Lamont questions Winton, discovers Uncle Charles is alive and well, and thinks the boy is going insane. Realizing a few of the facts to be askew, Lamont returns as The Shadow to uncover the truth. Charles Winton faked his own murder in the office of the warehouse using a hunting rifle loaded with blanks. Felix Hedgeford lost his business to Maury’s father, who recently passed on, and plotted with Charles Winton to drive the rightful heir into surrendering his inheritance so they could divide it. The Shadow exposes the scheme in front of Maury and phones for the police.
