Synopsis:
Unimpressed by Professor Taylor’s fantastic story that two fanatical Tibetans are attempting to murder him because of a missing emerald known as the Green Star of Lhasa, Lamont begins seeking knowledge of the Tibetans. Taylor found the emerald during an excavation project in a Tibetan temple and fears the Jenpuri, extreme fanatics, who refused to recognize the government’s permission to excavate. Karmar the mystic hypnotizes Margot to learn the whereabouts of the professor while Diana, the professor’s landlady, allows a jewel thief to steal the emerald. The thief is stabbed in the ribs and when Lamont discovers that the Tibetans are not responsible for the death and are, in fact, a form of Buddhists, he realizes the professor was reclaiming the emerald. Alone with the professor, Margot is about to become the next victim when The Shadow arrives to knock the knife out of the professor’s hand.
