Synopsis:
Trying to find a trace of the murderous rGyal-po cult (pronounced “ree-gee-al-puh”) that took the life of famous explorer and world traveler, George Randall, Lamont assumes a false identity at a waterfront hotel where Len Yo Choo, the proprietor of a novelty shop, inadvertently revealed the whereabouts of “the boss.” When Wharf Annie, the owner of the hotel, discovers Lamont is an amateur detective she takes up the task of tying weights to his unconscious body and dumping him in the water. Unsure why Lamont hasn’t contacted her, Margot returns to Choo’s store and discovers “the boss” is Ted Randall, George’s brother. The Shadow comes to the rescue, having already escaped the water trap, to reveal Choo was selling drugs in his store, smuggled from China through Ted’s side business.
