Synopsis:
Stranded at a deserted hotel on Doom Island during an evening storm, Lamont and Margot discover their surroundings amiss when all the occupants mysteriously vanish within minutes. Margot is quickly bound and gagged and left behind until The Shadow cuts away her bindings. Next, he sets forth toward a lighthouse. High seas piracy is about to be committed as the freighter, “Ocean King,” is coming in from South Africa carrying a cargo of three million dollars in diamonds. Margot alerts the Coast Guard while The Shadow boards the craft. With the lighthouse beacon extinguished, the freighter relies on blind navigation and runs aground on the reefs. As the ship takes on water, the gang of cutthroats disguised in Coast Guard uniforms board and take command of the disaster. The captain is about to hand over the papers and cargo when The Shadow reveals the scheme. The real Coast Guard arrives and The Shadow laughs because the fiendish ploy is up.
