Synopsis:
A strange and inexplicable force suddenly disrupts all electrical utilities for a short period of time. According to the radio, the local incident is a freak of nature but when Professor Fischer is reported missing by his housekeeper, Lamont suspects something far more dangerous. Fischer was demonstrating his remote magnetic impulse device which is strong enough to cause wholesale destruction and deaths, not to mention knocking out all communication for hundreds of miles. Foreign agents Carla and Policheck stole the tiny powerhouse and kidnapped the professor since only he knows how to operate the device. The professor attempts to take his own life to foil their schemes but when he fails, they make plans to test the device themselves to demonstrate the power of the small box. Margot and Lamont set out to track the whereabouts of the professor and succeed only moments before he dies in their arms. Following the professor’s clue, they locate the device. After Margot phones Weston, the foreign agents kidnap her. The Shadow arrives and cuts the wires to the device, rendering it harmless while the FBI arrives at the scene.
