Synopsis:

Oceanview: a little town overlooking the sea. A character with a face of ugliness named Carlo makes do with generous townspeople who give him castoff clothes and leftover food. When he discovers that he has the power to kill people at will, by wishing them dead and pointing his finger, victim after victim drops dead of heart failure. He begins a sinister scheme to pay heavy dividends in blackmail. Citizens fear the monstrous man. Tourists Lamont and Margot find a subterranean chamber underneath a house. Piecing the clues together, Lamont acts quickly as The Shadow to prevent another victim. Puzzled as to why he is unable to take another life, Carlo is apprehended by The Shadow. Lamont later explains to Margot that the cast on Carlo’s arm was really a hollow shell concealing a little death-ray machine operated by small, powerful batteries. He merely had to point it toward his victim, touch a button and “wish” his victim dead. The Shadow merely cut the wires, disabling the device.

Note:

This episode was a rewrite of  “The Man Who Wished Death” broadcast on November 26th 1944.
