Synopsis:
The noted bacteriologist, Dr. Einzig headed for the U.S. to work on vaccines to defend against possible germ warfare, was killed aboard a freighter and the deadly experimental cultures carried in sealed vials were stolen. Mendoza, an ugly little man with an inflated ego, threatens the mayor of the city with unleashing the germs if he doesn’t get one hundred thousand dollars. The mayor follows orders to deliver the money, unaware that the invisible Shadow is following his every step. Tipping off Weston by phone as to the whereabouts of the criminals, Lamont gets a head start on the law by confronting the criminals as The Shadow. Almost breaking Mendoza’s arm, The Shadow confiscates the vials when the man attempts to jump out the window with the unopened cultures. Weston and his men move in.
