Synopsis:
Amy Catlett is the sole surviving member of her family. Her father and three brothers have all met death in various forms of accidents, giving the local papers headlines declaring “The Curse of the Catletts.” During her wedding ceremony to Roger North a chandelier crashes to the ground, missing Amy by inches. Lamont investigates to discover that Amy’s armless foster brother, Jason, has returned from the Madagascar coast with a dwarf Indian assistant named Loo Bam to seek revenge on the Catlett family. Because his now-dead father deserted him as an infant, Jason has been seeking revenge on the family one by one. When Amy and Margot are gassed unconscious and Amy kidnapped, Lamont sets out as The Shadow to rescue her before she is killed. Realizing he cannot fight what he cannot see, Jason orders Loo Bam to stab The Shadow with the hypodermic needle originally meant for Amy. The Shadow foils Loo Bam’s attempt so the arriving police can take control of the situation.
