Synopsis:

Eminent archaeologist Sir Bryan McDougall returned from Egypt with the mummy of Ziada, daughter of the Egyptian Pharaoh, Ramses II. During the return trip, his associate was murdered. Now a mysterious voice continues to haunt the owners of the museum with its warnings. A museum guard is killed and as the body count continues to grow, Ahmed Ben Yussef, a representative of a fanatical Egyptian sect called the Society of Ra invokes the protection of the sacred spirits for the royal dead. Lamont discovers Ahmed has been behind the murders out of greed: a ruby was hidden in the mummy’s heart. Ahmed decided to double-cross the society and steal the ruby for his own. The Shadow encounters Ahmed as he attempts to steal the ruby but the culprit races from the scene. The voice representing the society warns The Shadow to remain at his post — they will see to it that justice is done tonight. Later that evening, Ahmed is found dead, a crooked knife in his back.
