Synopsis:
Lamont Cranston and Margot Lane are trying to help a young amnesia victim regain her memory. When they go to her apartment, they find a corpse on the floor — a corpse that looks exactly like the amnesia victim. Commissioner Weston unearths the facts: they were twin sisters and the amnesia victim is Jane Mitchell. Sure that Jane is being framed for a murder she did not commit, Lamont sets out to find proof, only to discover that she is indeed guilty and her amnesia merely a ruse. Once she killed her sister, she realized she was bound to be blamed. Fixing up an alibi by resetting the time on her sister’s watch so it would appear she was with Lamont and Margot at the time of the murder, her attempts failed when The Shadow, invisible to her own eyes, observes her attempts to cover up the evidence of the crime.
