Synopsis:

Trying to solve a five year old crime, Lamont and Margot find the mutilated body of Murph, one of Lamont’s undercover assistants. Murph gives them a clue before dying, suggesting the killer underwent plastic surgery. Before they can leave Murph’s hideout, however, the killer sets the old house afire and shoots at Lamont as he tries to get Margot out of the flaming building. The sleuths escape and The Shadow begins questioning the men involved, in order to verify that Trigger has undergone plastic surgery. Finding Doc Winston tied to a chair and Trigger about to “operate” on the only man capable of revealing his true identity, The Shadow knocks the surgical instrument out of Trigger’s hand and ties him up for the law to take over.
