Synopsis:

An insurance racket/blackmail ring forces Lamont and Margot to go undercover in an effort to trace the men responsible for the racket. They learn how Mr. Bentley’s wife, Julia, romances wealthy individuals and then convinces them to go for a ride while Bentley’s men set up a hit and run using corpses and phony insurance forms to blackmail the victims. Lamont and Margot are quickly found out. Trapped and forced to become part of the racket, Lamont is knocked unconscious and Margot is taken away from the palatial home of Joel Bentley. Before she can become the next hit and run victim of a wealthy socialite, The Shadow comes to her aid and knocks out the gunsels. Back at Bentley’s home, The Shadow dodges bullets and then forces the Bentleys to phone the police.
