Synopsis:
Before turning him over to Treasury agents, Commissioner Weston questions a man named Tony about counterfeit bills he was caught passing. Suspecting Tony is innocent, Lamont sets out to learn who is printing the bogus ten-dollar bills. Margot and Lamont find a corpse in a vestibule but when they bring Commissioner Weston to the scene the body has vanished. Searching the house by themselves later that day, Margot is kidnapped by William and Linda. Lamont joins forces with a professional printer named Eric to find out in which room in the grand house Margot is being held. Eric shoots the big brute known as Joseph. As William attempts to eliminate the evidence, he shoots Eric before he makes his getaway. During the commotion, Lamont sets Margot free and then assumes the identity of The Shadow in order to foil their scheme and reveal to the authorities the real counterfeiters.
