White’s wife has a heart condition that ultimately takes her life when Prince visits their house, frustrated that he lost the game. Prince attempts to shoot Augustus when he returns home. While questioning Maddocks, the owner of the gambling joint responsible for the debt, The Shadow discovers the truth behind the disappearance of Augustus and sets out to prevent a murder. Back in Prince’s private apartment, Augustus wants to murder Prince as revenge for the death of his wife but Prince turns the lights out to even the score. The Shadow saves White’s life and apprehends the famous hunter for the police.
