Synopsis:
Lamont and Margot are on the trail of the Whispering Killer who has already committed two murders and whose third victim is the head of the Kemp Marriage Council. The only connection between the first two victims was that both were single women and members of the Council who left over a disagreement with Mrs. Kemp about the company they keep. Suspecting Danny Fox, a notorious crook whose motive is to be friends with lonely women so he can steal money from them, Lamont pays him a visit. Danny splashes alcohol in Lamont’s eyes and makes a hasty escape. Late that evening, Margot visits Mr. and Mrs. Kemp while The Shadow pays a personal visit to Danny Fox on the outside grounds. It seems Danny is innocent but Mr. Kemp is not. The little man’s pitiful mind cracked under the strain of domination and he became a schizophrenic killer. The Shadow arrives in the nick of time to prevent Margot from becoming the Whispering Killer’s next victim.
