Synopsis:
Helen Warren’s stepfather was killed recently when a wild, unbroken stallion trampled him. Some months later, Helen’s young husband George dies in the same brutal way. Now, Margot and Lamont have come to the Warren country home to investigate a strange, ghost-like apparition of a man on horseback which takes the life of the nurse in the Warren household. Old man Warren plotted to drive his stepdaughter to insanity. He knew that if Helen were declared insane, her husband would gain control of her fortune. Margot learns the truth when confronted privately by the old man who threatens to brand Margot with her red-hot curling iron. The Shadow arrives to expose the scheme and prove that Helen’s husband is alive. Dodging a bullet meant for him, it accidentally takes the life of Helen’s husband instead.
