Synopsis:

On a lonely, storm-swept night in Northern Canada, en route to hunting country, Lamont and Margot find themselves stranded at a French-Canadian inn known as “The House of the Ravens.” There, Elizabeth Fayre recaptures her fondest memories as her late husband, Anthony, who died a year ago, returns from the dead. After she envisions stabbing a captain and stabs Margot with the same knife, The Shadow reveals the facts about the ghosts. Her husband married her for her money and left because her father knew his kind and wouldn’t give him a cent. Realizing she was returning for a sentimental journey, and that her father had since died, he decided to trick her into committing suicide so he could later drop the ghost disguise and turn up to demand her estate as her live husband. Together with his cronies, including the owner of the inn, he plotted the night’s villainy. Having been stabbed by the same stage knife with a collapsible blade, Margot arrives with the local constables as The Shadow laughs.
