Synopsis:
Jimmy Denson’s wife has been murdered. Suffering from amnesia, Jimmy suspects he may have been the murderer. Lamont convinces Lieutenant Steele to allow Jimmy to remain in his custody while he finds out what happened during Jimmy’s missing hours. After finding a red-haired woman at The Pink Horse, a fancy nightclub, Lamont attempts to question her involvement with Jimmy the night his wife died but finds her body with her throat cut. When Jimmy discovers a book verifying his wife was making a killing blackmailing rich clients, The Shadow visits Hal Grack, head of The Pink Horse, and learns he hired Shakey Rogers to commit the murder. But Shakey tells the police that she was dead before he could earn his fee. Jimmy was faking the amnesia because he murdered his wife for the money.
